Julia Moshkin

Senior CSR Analyst & Team Leader, EcoVadis

Julia Moshkin brings 8+ years of experience in Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability programs. Throughout her career, Julia worked on deployment of renewable energy programs in Ontario, designed energy efficiency and conservation programs in California and consulted on a number of sustainability projects. Julia joined EcoVadis, 4 years ago, as a CSR Analyst where she is leading a team responsible for evaluation of complex Supply Chains worldwide. Julia holds a BA in Law and Society and MES with focus on Renewable Energy Policy from York University as well as MSc in Sustainable Management from Columbia University.

Jack Gavin

Associate Director in the Environmental Sustainability Center of Excellence at Merck

John (Jack) Gavin is an Associate Director in the Environmental Sustainability Center of Excellence (CoE) at Merck, an innovative, global healthcare leader that is committed to improving health and well-being around the world. The CoE develops Merck’s environmental sustainability strategy and collaborates with the various business units to achieve our targets - leading to reduced costs and risk, and enabling the company to maintain competitive advantage in a world with increased pressure on limited resources.

Jack has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having previously worked in several roles in biologics R&D for over 20 years before assuming his current position in environmental sustainability.

He has a BA degree in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University, and a MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business. Jack is located at Merck’s corporate offices in Kenilworth, NJ.

Dmitriy Yakubov

Vice President, J. P Morgan Corporate & Investment Bank

Dmitriy Yakubov is a Vice President for J.P. Morgan’s Global Trade & Loan Product. In this role, Dmitriy manages a portfolio of Supply Chain Finance Programs where he advises clients on various working capital solutions.  Dmitriy has over 8 years of industry experience with previous positions in Business Development, Prime Brokerage, Product Management and Strategy at J.P. Morgan’s New York and Sydney offices.

 

Dmitriy holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and International Business from New York University’s Stern School of Business and proudly grew up in the non-hipster part of Brooklyn

Sophie Waskow Rifkin

Moderator, Senior Associate Director of the Center for Sustainable Business, NYU

 She has 10 years of experience working with organizations to grow and implement sustainability programs. As a member of the advisory services team at BSR (Business for Social Responsibility), Sophie worked with consumer sector companies to develop and implement sustainability strategies. Previously, she spent three years as a project manager at the George Washington University where she helped launch the university’s inaugural sustainability program. Sophie began her career in sustainability at the consulting firm, SustainAbility. She holds an MPA from George Washington University, and an A.B. in English from Brown University. Sophie is a member of the Pembroke Center Associates Council of Brown University and serves as a mentor in Brown Women’s Launch Pad program.
